朋友覺得我這陣子少了經濟壓力，從未這樣輕鬆過，竟會主動約人玩樂，我也不知道，但覺得日子還是有點暗藏殺機。其實這陣子總感到很累，一向不特別喜歡睡覺的我，竟前所未有的渴睡，每到下午便和睡魔搏鬥，不知是室內空氣差，還是潛意識對工作的抗拒 ; 但即使在朋友家輕談淺酌，大夥兒談得興高采烈，我也會瑟縮在沙發一角睡覺，有時回家甚麼也不幹就倒頭大睡到天明，房間執了又執還是亂七八糟的，也許是年紀老大加缺乏運動惹的禍。
早幾天涉嫌過度活躍的室友撲入房，拿著書跟我做了個心理測驗，結論是我輕微憂鬱。這些簡單的心理測驗雖然不能作準，但還是有點訥悶，測驗的問題，主要是測試你對生活的熱情度，由1-5，而我的答案，大都是2-3之間，無可無不可，冷漠與熱情之間，看來要為我的感官去一去鏽。

根據美國精神病學會的心理病統計與診斷手冊(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition; DSM-IV), 憂鬱症的診斷需要乎合以下條件:
可作參考。
A (At least 1 out of 3).
A1. Abnormal depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day, for at least 2 weeks.
A2. Abnormal loss of all interest and pleasure most of the day, nearly every day, for at least 2 weeks.
A3. If 18 or younger, abnormal irritable mood most of the day, nearly every day, for at least 2 weeks.
B (At least 5 out of 9).
B1. Abnormal depressed mood (or irritable mood if a child or adolescent) [as defined in criterion A].
B2. Abnormal loss of all interest and pleasure [as defined in criterion A2].
B3. Appetite or weight disturbance, either:
- Abnormal weight loss (when not dieting) or decrease in appetite, or
- Abnormal weight gain or increase in appetite.
B4. Sleep disturbance, either abnormal insomnia or abnormal hypersomnia.
B5. Activity disturbance, either abnormal agitation or abnormal slowing (observable by others).
B6. Abnormal fatigue or loss of energy.
B7. Abnormal self-reproach or inappropriate guilt.
B8. Abnormal poor concentration or indecisiveness.
B9. Abnormal morbid thoughts of death (not just fear of dying) or suicide.
C. The symptoms are not due to a mood-incongruent psychosis.
D. There has never been a Manic Episode, a Mixed Episode, or a Hypomanic Episode.
E. The symptoms are not due to physical illness, alcohol, medication, or street drugs.
F. The symptoms are not due to normal bereavement.

四嬸：養寵物難，養人更難，怕我會憂鬱得更快。
